How it works
The Foundation is a 501(c)(3). Buyers had to be 18 or older and located in Arizona at purchase. Entries cost $50 each through dbacks.com/heroes, with no limit on entries and no refunds. The grand prize was a choice of a 2026 Ford Bronco Big Bend (max retail $65,700), a 2026 Mustang Mach-E Premium (max retail $62,000) or $10,000 cash. There were also 68 daily prize drawings of memorabilia, estimated at $45 to $500 each.
No free entry
The rules state no free entry method. Odds depend on the number of entries purchased, and no ticket cap or numeric odds are given.
How it scored
Transparency and ease of play are the strongest at 7, along with reputation at 7. The rules list every daily prize with its estimated retail value, the maximum retail value of the vehicles, and a combined daily-prize maximum of $8,440.
Odds and value is the weakest at 4: a $50 entry, no free route and no stated odds. Player protection and payouts and claims scored 6 each. No registration or licence statement was found. Winners must claim within 30 days of the drawing and are responsible for income taxes, with federal withholding applied as required. See lottery taxes explained.
Our take
A fair, clearly priced charity raffle, with net proceeds going to the Foundation and programs for children and families in need, mainly in Arizona. The limits are the paid-only entry and missing odds. Treat the ticket as a donation first.
